Barrel set. Head space correct. Now ready to machine and ream for the barrel pin.

Then we confirm again with the “go” and “no-go” gauges.

Installing the barrel with the barrel press we built. Get the barrel started. Then insert a “go” head space gauge and snug it up. Takes a while to get the “feel”.

Preliminary barrel check on the surface plate. The only thing that worries me is that we have had to eventually open up the gas ports on theses 100 series barrels to make them work. That gas block/sight base is on there tight.

Any friends here need a true Russian poly side folder assembly. 5.5 mm pin. 300.00 shipped.

Here we have installed the rear folding trunnion with the flat head rivets. Also the trigger guard installed.

Here we have set and installed the rivets in the front trunnion. Notice the crushed head is the right diameter. It should be 1 and a half the diameter of the rivet shaft. Also we had to drill the hole for the front latch pin.
